Project Summary
Working Title: Showdown
Format: | Digital 2D Animation |
Duration: | Approx. 2 minutes |
Theme: | Dark Side of Humanity |
Objective: | Creating a satirical approach to the subject of desensitization to violence and entertainment at the expense of others, which may amuse the audience but also raise questions about their own desensitization to people’s suffering, often reflected in entertainment today. |
Synopsis: | Two machines go head-to-head in a dance competition that will leave only one survivor. |
Producer & Director: | Megan Miller |
Cast: | None |
Crew: | TBA |
The stylistic approach is designed similarly to Bruce Timm's look, like Batman: The Animated Series, but with more exaggerated characters along the lines of cartoons like Samurai Jack. The aesthetic of movement will be smooth, running on a high frame rate, but sketchy in appearance, giving it a grittier look.
Concept illustrations soon to come!
